Friday Assignment Reminders

Your guided reading on the War in Europe and the Holocaust is due this morning.  Today you will begin working on America Moves Toward War, which discusses America's slow break from isolationism and eventually reaction to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.  This will be due on Wednesday morning when you arrive in class.

Remember to keep up your work on the poem Let America Be America Again by Langston Hughes.  i have really enjoyed having some really interesting discussions with some of you about the poem and your personal view of the American Dream.  I am fascinated by your different experiences and insights.

Exhibitions are fast approaching and it is never to early to get started.  The first exhibitions begin on the 20th of this month.  You all have a lot on your plate so make sure not to leave this to the last minute.  Take a look at the exhibition checklist and rubric to begin your work.

Finally, for those of you interested in learning about the affordability of college please take a look at this website.  It is called the College Scorecard.  This resource will give you important information on each college's costs, graduation rate, loan default rate, and average borrowing.
